Moon Sand...Friend or Foe?

Everyone is familiar with Moon Sand...you know..."the moldable sand that never dries out so it can be used again and again for never-ending fun". It's tauted to clean up easily and doesn't stick or stain. Well, it has provided hours of fun for our kids, but I couldn't disagree more strongly about it being easy to clean up. If other kids are anything like mine, the sand does not stay in the tray and ends up everywhere. It is not an easy thing to clean up. The minute you try to pick it up, it falls apart. It's worse than play-doh.

I reluctantly pull the Moon Sand out when I really need a break, as both the kids can play with it for a good 30 minutes or so. So, I can't really decide if this so called Moon Sand is my friend or foe...

Happy St. Patrick's Day

The Halloran Clan

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a traditional corned beef and cabbage meal, and the Halloran's all dressed in green. We tried to capture a family picture, but as you can see, it didn't go over so well. One day we will catch all family members in a picture taking mood!

Mommy's lucky charm

They can't wait to dig into that delicious meal

Happy 5th Birthday Nolan!

Nolan celebrated his 5th Birthday this weekend. Can't believe he's already 5! He requested a hockey Birthday cake, so I did the best I could creating a hockey stick and puck. He got a few monster trucks and some Moon Sand from Shelly and family, which he played with for the rest of the day.

Happy 2nd Birthday Torrance!

Torrance helps make her Birthday cake.

So, technically we missed Tori's Birthday since I was in the hospital, but we did end up celebrating the following weekend with cake and presents. Later, I found out that she had 3 Birthday cakes (thanks to Auntie Margaret and Grandma) so her Birthday ended up being well celebrated.

I promise...next year will be a much bigger affair!
