Hackensack 2009

"Is today the day we go up North?" This is a common question we hear nearly everyday in July from Nolan. Our annual trip to Hackensack is something we look forward to every summer. It is a time to relax, have fun, eat good food, shop and hang out with family. Our days pretty much consist of a huge breakfast, sitting by the beach, running to town, a huge dinner and sitting by the campfire. While this year was a little cooler than usual (we actually ran the new heater in the cabin) nobody really cared. The kids still enjoyed playing with their cousins and swimming in the lake, while the adults caught up with family members we don't get to see everyday.
Unfortunately, there is a sad part of going up North... 1) it ends and, 2) it marks the first of the "back to school" ads each year. It is a clear sign that the summer is coming to a close.

Not only is Nolan jumping off the dock onto a raft, he is also shooting the guy holding the raft with a water blaster.

Out fishing.
This is how technology changes life. Here I am on a beautiful boat ride, and I'm too busy taking pictures with my phone and posting them on Facebook.

Tori & Cam

Tori & Luke had a blast playing together up North. Here they are saying their goodbye's as the rest of us packed up.

The sign that a great day has come to an end.
